Middle School Overview — Grades 6-8

Introduction

Middle School is a time of adventure, discovery, and independence. At Hualalai Academy, learning is hands on and experiential. The foundation of our program is the academic core classes in language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics. In addition, each quarter, students have the opportunity to choose from a variety of electives. Our Adventure Friday program takes students off campus and into different learning environments every other week.

Sixth Grade is a time of transition to the Middle School. Students have a full year relationship with their teachers in the four core academic areas: English, Social Studies (Ancient Civilizations), Science (Physical Science) and Mathematics (Pre-Algebra or General Math), Health and Physical Education.
