Dr. Robert Whiting

Interim Head of School for the 2012-13 school year.

Dr. Bob recently retired from Holy Nativity School on O`ahu after 11 years as Head of School. Prior to his leadership role at Holy Nativity, Dr. Bob had a lengthy career at Kamehameha School Kapalama Campus that included positions in administration, curriculum, learning centers and teaching.

Dr. Bob’s educational background reflects not only achieved degrees in education but also a depth and range of relevant experience in independent schools. As a seasoned leader, he brings to Hualalai Academy the proven ability to enrich and enliven our students and advance our mission of 21st Century Learning.

Felicity Johnson

Founding Head of School

FelicityJohnson received a BA with Honors in the Practice of Education and an MA in Education from the University of London Institute of Education, and an I. A. P. S. from Oxford. She was Head of School at Hualalai Academy for twelve years.

Board of Directors

Hualalai Academy's Board of Directors consists of parents, educators, business professionals and community leaders. They are a committed, reflective and passionate group of leaders with a clear understanding of their roles, commitments and responsibilities. As a governing body, the Board effectively carries out its responsibilities in setting policy, providing fiscal oversight, fund raising, assisting and supporting the Head of School and engaging in Board development.
