Hualalai Academy Parents' Association (H.A.P.A.)
Mission: H.A.P.A. is a non-profit organization whose goal is to assist the administration/faculty in furthering the development and growth of the school. Members of H.A.P.A. include interested parents, grandparents, guardians, alumni families, and school and community friends.
Purpose: H.A.P.A. provides valuable avenues of communication among parents, teachers, staff, board members, and administration. In the regular monthly meetings, the head of school, board, and staff members update parents about important events at the school and the status of long-term projects.
Activities: The annual membership fee is $45 which helps provide resources for the students and the school. In past years, HAPA has funded the purchase of a firewall to protect students as they search the web, an electronic SmartBoard, computer printers, library books, student activity scholarships, and classroom supplies. The group also funds social activities like dances, proms, graduations, concerts, and other social events at the school.
